The day dawned foggy in typical Melbourne style. Up early and ready to go. We had a trail of friends and family arriving from about 9.30 am to see us off. It was a wonderful surprise to see some folks who had come from out of town or who had changed their plans to fit in our farewell. it really made it all the more special to be able to share it with some of the special people from our lives. After much laughter, clicking of multiple photos, and a few tears, the time came to throw off the lines. A simple act that signalled the end of the planning and the start of our adventure. Now we are under way and the sun is shining.
